March 26, 2008 Report
Pow! Bam! Pass the syrup! The rumors were true!!! Life Maxx™ did indeed make his first public appearance at the Pancake and Sausage Breakfast for the A Way With Words Foundation and the R.O.c.C.K. Children's Choir on Saturday, March 15, 2008. Created by award-winning comic creators Chris Yambar (of Bart Simpson and Mr. Beat Comics fame) and George Broderick Jr. (I Dream of Jeannie and Mister Magoo, among others), Life Maxx™ is the WORLD'S FIRST CANCER SURVIVING SUPER HERO.The first issue of the Life Maxx™ comic book was released November 18, 2007. Now there are plans to give the character his own live-action DVD movie release, which will be distributed to children's cancer wards across America. The Pancake and Sausage Breakfast was a great opportunity to meet the character and his creators face to face. Several people had their picture taken with Life Maxx™. Life Maxx™ and Chis Yambar autographed the first edition of the Life Maxx™ comic book copies for those who attended the breakfast. Everyone had a well-cooked, delicious breakfast and a super fun time too! |

| "We never do anything small in scope," states Yambar from his office in the Ohio One Building located in downtown Youngstown, Ohio, "When the sky is the limit you go for everything in sight . . . even if it means flying into an outer space adventure with your own super hero. Life Maxx™ is all about living each day to the maximum. It's a code worth thinking about and going for." | |||

The Breakfast raised funds for the A Way With Words Foundation, the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir, cancer survivor needs, and cancer research. The Foundation is hoping to cover the costs for the Choir trip to the Victory Junction Gang Camp in North Carolina this June, when the Choir will perform for cancer children there. At the camp, the Choir will present "Helping Hands" T-Shirts made by Choir members for the benefit of children with cancer. |
